How to choose a Fitbit on Prime Day

Fitbit makes some of the best fitness trackers around, so to an extent, whatever you buy will be great. However, one of the most important things to consider is if you want a simple wearable that covers the basics, like the Fitbit Charge 6, or something more advanced and rivalling the best smartwatches, like the Fitbit Versa 4. The Fitbit ecosystem is available across the board, but opting for a smartwatch design means more features and sometimes a more stylish appearance that looks good 24/7.

Read up on the best Fitbits and you’ll soon see the key differences. They all offer good battery life and basics like step counting, calorie tracking, and other simple tools, but some work better for running while others favor a wide range of sports. The Fitbit Charge 6 is generally best for everyone, but we’re partial to the Fitbit Versa 4 thanks to its smartwatch capabilities. In all cases, budget for Fitbit Premium; it comes free with your purchase for a while, but you’ll need to subscribe to reap the full benefits of your Fitbit.

The HIFIMAN Ananda hits $249 at Amazon, and nothing at this price competes with planar magnetic drivers
HIFIMAN Ananda drops to $249 (38% off): open-back planar magnetic, Stealth Magnet drivers
HIFIMAN Ananda deal

Planar magnetic headphones used to be the kind of thing you'd spend $500 or more to get into. The HIFIMAN Ananda changed that conversation when it launched, and at $249, it moves that conversation further still. That's $150 off its $399 list price for a full-size open-back planar magnetic headphone that competes with options costing considerably more, and it's the deal I'd point any serious listener toward right now.
