The Google Pixel 10 series has been officially unveiled, with four new smartphones entering the fray.

Update: we’ve been hands-on with the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro & 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The standard Google Pixel 10 is joined by the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the quartet is rounded off by Google’s third iteration of its foldable phone, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

AI is unsurprisingly a core theme running through the new devices, with Google introducing new AI features at the same time.

Magic Cue works across your apps, suggesting important information from one location, in another when the AI detects it might be useful to the current situation on-screen.

Another new feature is Voice Translation, which can translate your real-time phone call while mimicking each person’s personal tone.

There’s more to explore with AI advancements across Gemini Live, Gboard and other features, and if you pick up one of the new Pixel 10 phones you’ll get a year of Google AI Pro for free. This gives you access to the more advanced Gemini generative AI chatbot, along with the Imagen 4 and Veo 3 image and video generation platforms.

The new handsets take over the mantle from the Pixel 9 series as Google’s flagship fleet of phones, although they’re not the first phones the firm has launched this year.

That accolade went to the affordable Pixel 9a which arrived in April. We’re unlikely to see a Pixel 10a until a similar time in 2026.

So for now, we have four new Pixel 10 phones to enjoy. Here’s what you need to know.

How many Google Pixel 10 handsets are there?

Google has launched four new Pixel 10 handsets. They have arrived alongside the new Google Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a and a new color variant of the already-announced Pixel Buds Pro 2.

  • Google Pixel 10
  • Google Pixel 10 Pro
  • Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
  • Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold

We can’t rule out a mid-cycle arrival of a more affordable variant in the future. This will likely be the Pixel 10a, if Google follows its previous launch history.

If the Pixel 10a does exist, we’d expect it to arrive between March and May 2026, following the launch pattern set by the Pixel 9a, 8a and 7a.

When will the Google Pixel 10 series be available?

The Google Pixel 10 series were announced on August 20, 2025, but the Pixel 10 release date isn’t quite so straight forward.

Similar to last year, Google is staggering the on-sale dates of its new phones into two phases, with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold arriving in stores considerably later than the other handsets.

The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL release date is August 28, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold release date is October 9.

Pixel 10 release date schedule

  • Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL release date: August 22
  • Pixel 10 Pro Fold release date: October 9

Pixel 10 pre-orders for all four handsets opened on August 20. These are the best Pixel 10 deals available right now.

How much will the Pixel 10 cost?

There’s good news here, as the Google Pixel 10 prices are the same as the launch prices of the Pixel 9 series.

That’s despite some rumors suggesting Google may increase prices, but those turned out to be false.

Pixel 10 price

The Google Pixel 10 price starts at $799, which gets you 128GB of storage. If you want more space in your base model Pixel 10, you can pay an additional $100 for 256GB.

  • 128GB: $799 | 256GB: $899

Pixel 10 Pro price

If you’re after Google’s pro-grade tech, the Google Pixel 10 Pro price starts at $999 for 128GB of storage. Unlike the Pixel 10, the 10 Pro comes with four storage options, giving you plenty of flexibility depending on your needs.

  • 128GB: $999 | 256GB: $1,099 | 512GB: $1,219 | 1TB: $1,449

Pixel 10 Pro XL price

While the Pixel 10 Pro XL price remains the same as the previous generation, Google has dropped the 128GB variant this time. It means the entry point for those looking to buy the XL is now $100 more.

  • 256GB: $1,199 | 512GB: $1,319 | 1TB: $1,549

Pixel 10 Pro Fold price

There’s a new, even more expensive Google foldable variant for 2025, with the addition of the 1TB storage configuration coming in at a lofty $2,149. It joins the 256GB and 512GB models, which retain the same launch pricing as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

  • 256GB: $1,799 | 512GB: $1,919 | 1TB: $2,149

Google Pixel 10

The Google Pixel 10 is the based model of the new flagship series, providing a compact flagship experience for the lowest price, starting at $799.

If features Google’s new Camera Coach to help you take better photos, Pixelsnap support, IP68 dust and water resistance, plus you’ll benefit from seven years of Android OS and security updates.

All four Pixel 10 series are also the first major Android phones to feature Qi2 built-in, enabling wireless charging and compatibility with PixelSnap accessories such as chargers and stands.

It means you’ll be able to magnetically attach accessories directly to the rear of the phones in the same way MagSafe works for iPhone.

The main trade-off here is battery capacity, with the Pixel 10 Pro packing a 100mAh smaller battery than its base model sibling.

Google claims the Pixel 10 Pro will still offer “30+ hour battery life”, which is the same stat it quotes for the Pixel 10. We’ll have to see how it fares in our testing.

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL

If you want the best Google has to offer with a bigger screen, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is the phone for you.

It has all the features of the standard 10 Pro, just in a larger body – with a bigger battery to match. It also benefits from a couple of unique features you won’t find on any other Pixel 10 device.

First up, it supports the fastest wired charging of the quartet, with the ability to replenish 70% of battery charge in 30 minutes with a 45W charger (sold separately). The other three handsets can only manage 50-55% in the same time (with a max speed of 30W).

And secondly, the Pixel 10 Pro XL comes with Qi2.2 wireless charging, providing speeds of 25W (vs 15W on the other Pixel 10 devices).

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the first foldable phone to come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and along with a new gearless hinge which Google claims is two times more durable than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, this is the firm’s most advanced foldable to date.

Adding to the durability, Google say it’s added extra drop protection into the frame of the phone, and claims the tougher internal screen can support 10 years of folding.

However, while we’ve witnessed the Oppo Find N5, Honor Magic V5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 deliver almost impossible thin foldable phones, Google is bucking the trend with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold actually coming in thicker (by 0.3 mm) than the 9 Pro Fold it’s replacing.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold: key features

  • IP68 dust and water resistance – first foldable to achieve this rating
  • 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates
  • Camera Coach

Snapchat Planets: What’s the order, and what do they mean?
Snapchat Planets turns your best friends list into a solar system, and yes, your orbit says a lot
Snapchat Planets being shown on the Snapchat app on iPhone.

Snapchat is already packed with little symbols that can be weirdly hard to decode. You have streaks, emojis, badges, scores, Best Friends, and if you use Snapchat Plus, a tiny solar system that shows where you sit in someone’s closest-friends list.

The feature is called Friend Solar System, though most people just call it Snapchat Planets. It takes your position in a friend’s Snapchat orbit and turns it into a planet. From Mercury to Neptune, these celestial bodies signify how close a person is to you.

As one of the most popular messaging services, you’ve already heard of WhatsApp. From its humble beginnings in 2009—two years before Apple introduced iMessage—to its acquisition by Facebook (now Meta) in 2014, WhatsApp has become the dominant messaging platform around the globe.

In recent years, it's grown even more potent with new features like video messages, self-destructing voice messages, the ability to edit sent messages, and more. We even finally got an WhatsApp iPad app in May 2025.

Electronics, Phone, Mobile Phone

There's no shortage of messaging apps out there. The past decade has given us more options than we know what to do with, largely because smartphones demanded something better than plain old SMS.

Both the App Store and the Play Store are packed with apps that promise to revolutionize the way we communicate. Most of them didn't make it. The truth is, a messaging app is only as good as the number of people using it, and most apps never cross that threshold.
