The Insider team released a number of these images, and they all feature ninja cat with a series of different animals, both mythical and historical. Notably, ninja cat is seen riding a narwhal with bacon on its horn, a fire-breathing unicorn, and T. rex with robot claws to extend its reach. They all feature a text bubble in the lower corner with the words “I’m a Windows Insider.”

The team also released a do-it-yourself kit that includes raw images of ninja cat and the different animals. Users can share their creations on social media using #windows10 and #ninjacat.

Ninja cat is inspired by an image created by Jason Heuser, which features the same cat riding a unicorn breathing fire, with the caption, “Welcome to the Internet, follow me.” There’s also another surprise hidden in Skype, although Aul didn’t explain what it might be, but instead suggested that it might not even be found.

It’s good to see that the Windows development team hasn’t lost its sense of humor over the past year of testing and responding to feedback. With just the release of Windows 10 right around the corner, initial development is through, and the team will have to start wiring up Redstone, the next major update to the OS. Redstone will roll out in two parts, one around June 2016, and the other the following October.
