Bosco Verticale: Milanese vertical forest provides green living spaces

Add as a preferred source on Google

With Milan being one of the most polluted cities in Europe, various solutions are coming forth in an attempt to tackle this issue.

The Bosco Verticale is one such solution. It is a vertical system of living spaces covered in plant life that are able to filter out unwanted particles that act as contaminates to the urban environment. The various plants can produce oxygen, absorb CO2, produce humidity, and protect the building from radiation and acoustic pollution.

Thanks to the dynamic design of the Bosco Verticale, each apartment balcony will be planted with trees that can respond to the various weather conditions. In the warm summer months shade will be provided while in the winter the barren trees will enable sunlight to shine through. An irrigation system will be present as well thanks to recycled water from the building.

With the depleting presence of nature in cities and urban sprawl becoming an increasing cause for concern, the architect of the project took time to note that if the vertical nature of the building was spread out as individual units, the Bosco Verticale would need 50,000 square meters of land and 10,000 meters of woodland to be built.

DJI’s first 360° drone offers 8K video recording and a freakishly long transmission range

What makes the Avata 360 worth looking at?

I transferred all my chats from other AI apps to Gemini — and it works flawlessly
Google Gemini Graphics Featured

You know that moment when AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude suddenly lose the plot mid-conversation and start hallucinating like they’re absolutely sure they’re right? Yeah…it’s equal parts funny and painfully annoying. My usual reaction is switching between apps, hoping one of them gets it right. But the real problem is that I have to start over every single time. It feels like I’m stuck in a loop explaining my life story to different AIs, one after the other.

Now with Gemini, I can now jump in from other AI apps without that whole reset conversation. Finally, the Google gods have blessed us. I tried it out expecting the usual hiccups, but it was surprisingly smooth and quick.
