Gboard ダイヤルバージョン / Gboard Dial Version

What’s happened? Clearly taking inspiration from rotary dial telephones, Google is introducing a new keyboard that will turn heads in the office. Google Japan has announced the release of its new 10-dial Gboard, which brings a new way to type.

  • The new Gboard features ten dials featuring a combination of letter, numeric keys, and function keys.
  • To use this new keyboard, users rotate each letter till they stop.
  • All rotating keys are fitted into a rectangular frame similar to a regular keyboard.

Why is this important? This isn’t the first time that the Google Gboard team has introduced a weird keyboard. With each entry into Google’s list of weird keyboards, the Gboard team shows just how innovative they can get.

Why should I care? Technology is fun, and so is trying out new things, and that is what the Gboard team did. According to the team, after looking at its previous keyboard entries, they realized they hadn’t tried one input method: rotation.

  • The keyboard brings a nostalgic buzzing sound.
  • Google’s Gboard team says it increases typing speed.
  • While this keyboard isn’t available for sale, you can 3D print one for yourself.

Okay, what’s next? It’s hard to predict what the Google Gboard will come up with next. So, we just need to wait for the next keyboard introduction from the Google Gboard team.

NBA Referee

Bad referee calls have become one of the NBA’s most frustrating recurring storylines, especially during the playoffs when every possession gets dissected online within seconds. According to recent comments from Adam Silver, the NBA is actively exploring how AI can improve officiating, replay analysis, and decision-making during games. The discussion comes at a time when criticism surrounding referees has intensified across the league, particularly as social media clips and slow-motion replays make every missed whistle instantly visible to millions of fans.

Gemini Spark is now rolling out and it hopes you will trust an AI more than apps
Gemini Spark in action

For years, AI assistants have mostly lived in chat windows. You ask a question, they answer it, and the interaction ends there. Google appears ready to push that idea much further with Gemini Spark, a new AI agent that is now rolling out to all Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. So, instead of opening multiple apps and manually managing tasks, you hand the job to Gemini Spark and let it work in the background.

According to Google, Gemini Spark can operate autonomously across your digital ecosystem, handling tasks even when your phone or laptop is turned off. Users can either watch it work in real time or let it run quietly in the background. Importantly, Google says the system remains under user control and is designed to seek approval before taking significant actions.
