Assuming you are not one of the handful of the real-life brave and doomed individuals who have taken to the streets to fight crime while wearing a homemade costume and wielding sticks to fight crime and whatnot, then this October you can satiate your superhero cravings with the sequel to the 2009 hit, Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Already one of the most anticipated titles of the year, it was always known that the game was coming out in Fall or so, but earlier today Rocksteady gave the sequel, Batman: Arkham City, an official due date of October18.
The game puts you back under the cowl of Batman, but rather than being trapped in Arkham Asylum, the madness spills out into Gotham City itself. One year after the events of the previous game that left Arkham Asylum somewhat destroyed-ish, the former warden of Arkham had the bright idea to block off a section of Gotham itself, and let the inmates of both Arkahm and Blackgate Prison, fend for themselves. As long as they stay within the specific area of Gotham, the prisoners are free to roam the streets.
Things are going along about as horribly you would expect, when Catwoman is taken prisoner by Two-Face and threatened with a public execution. Batman decides to intervene, not realizing that he himself is being hunted by Dr. Hugo Strange.
Batman: Arkham City is due on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 18.
