Two Devil May Cry games get the enhanced remake treatment for PS4 and XB1 in 2015

Well this is certainly unexpected. DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition are both coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, Capcom confirms. The former arrives on March 17, 2015 and the latter, sometime in summer 2015.

DmC Devil May Cry was released for PlayStation 3, Windows, and Xbox 360 platforms in January 2013. The game was built as a series reboot, with Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory completely re-envisioning the makeup of the universe and series protagonist Dante, a demon hunter with a hellspawned lineage. The game embraced the series’ focus on combo-heavy melee-and-ranged combat, with a tweaked approach to the way players switch between different combat and weapon styles.

Devil May Cry 4, meanwhile, capped off the timeline of the pre-reboot series when it came to PlayStation 3, Windows, and Xbox 360 in 2008. The game introduces a new protagonist in Nero, though the play falls in line with the template established in the preceding games.

Neither of the re-releases features anything new beyond additional leaderboards, Trophies/Achievements, and the expanded social features intrinsic to each platform, but Capcom’s announcement seems to confirm that, in both cases, all previously released downloadable content will be included.

Valve has officially raised the prices of the Steam Deck OLED in the US and several other global markets, and the increases are substantial. The move makes the company the latest major gaming platform holder to hike hardware pricing amid rising component costs and ongoing global economic pressures.

The biggest shock comes from the higher-end models. The 1TB Steam Deck OLED now costs $950 in the US, up from its original $650 launch price. Meanwhile, the 512GB OLED version has jumped from $550 to $790.
