Samsung’s Frame TV is over to $650 off for Prime Day — the lowest price of the year!

Samsung’s ultra-modern “The Frame” TV, which doubles as a piece of artwork when you’re not watching a show or movie, is down to its lowest price ever.

Right now, the 55-inch Samsung Frame QLED Smart TV is on sale for just $978 at Amazon, which saves you 41% off the regular price. Earlier this summer, the same model was priced at a much harder-to-justify $1,500 as part of Amazon’s Prime Day sale — but now, at a $668 discount, it’s hard to pass up for Amazon’s Big Deal Days event.

Why you should shop this Prime Day Big Deal Days TV offer

Whether your décor leans minimalist or contemporary, the TV’s tasteful, clean design and customizable art options will perfectly complement any room. After using an LG OLED smart TV for several years, I made the switch, and I can confidently say that I have no regrets. The Frame TV comes with a unique, ultra-slim wall mount that makes it sit completely flush against your wall. I have mine above my fireplace. You even have the option to change the TV’s frame to match your room better.

When switched to “Art Mode,” the Samsung Frame’s matte anti-reflective display showcases a vast collection of artwork from its online gallery, transforming it into a personalized piece of décor. However, it’s worth noting that Samsung charges a $5 monthly subscription to its Art Store.

Fortunately, a subscription isn’t required. I’ve loved experimenting with all kinds of artwork on the Frame, from vacation photos to holiday-themed pieces by independent artists I found on Etsy. My friends even surprised me with custom illustration for a MTV VMA watch party I hosted.

The TV goes beyond its sleek looks. It has exceptional brightness, vibrant colors, and incredible detail — especially considering this Prime Day price. If you’re confused about the difference between the LSO3D (2024) and LS03B (2022) series, the newer models are more energy efficient and have Pantone-Validated certification for color fidelity.

The TV’s included solar-power remote is not only eco-friendly but also easy to use. If you ever misplace it, you can easily control the TV using the companion smartphone app. Believe it or not, it also integrates with my Samsung Fridge and sends a notification on my phone if I accidentally leave the fridge door open. If you have a Samsung dishwasher, washing machine, or dryer it can similarly alert you when cycles are completed.

Really, my only complaint is that I wish its speakers were a little louder, so I recommend investing in a soundbar. For a TV that seamlessly blends into your decor and elevates not only your viewing experience but the look of your room, the Samsung Frame is the perfect choice. Combine that with its Prime Day $668 discount, and it’s a deal that’s just too good to pass up.

If the 55-inch model doesn’t fit your space, Samsung has a 65-inch , 75-inch , and 43-inch models that are between 15% and 17% off for Prime Day, as well!

YouTube is adding a new discovery chip to its Home page that turns a typed request into a personalized stream of videos.

The feature, called "Your custom feed," gives people a more direct way to break out of the usual recommendation mix. A viewer can ask for something outside their normal watch patterns, or narrow the experience around a particular moment, such as short guided meditations after work.

Sony launches True RGB TVs in the Bravia series, and it’s the start of a whole new era
Your living room is about to get a serious cinema upgrade.
Sony Bravia True RGB TV mounted on a wall

Sony just announced two new BRAVIA televisions, the BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II, and they might usher in a new era of living room TVs. Built around a technology the company is calling True RGB, instead of using a single white backlight like most TVs, these displays use independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs to produce color directly from the source.

Sony claims this results in the largest color volume ever achieved in its home TV lineup. The company has been working toward this for over two decades, starting with the Qualia 005 back in 2004. True RGB is Sony's attempt to combine the best of Mini LED and OLED into one panel, offering purer colors, brighter images, and better performance in well-lit rooms.
