The best new robot vacuums of CES 2021

Add as a preferred source on Google

Even in this stay-at-home virtual era, the brands at CES 2021 have still managed to impress with their smart home innovations. One smart home category that’s seen a lot of growth over the last few years is robot vacuums. Prices have declined but navigation, cleaning performance, and features have advanced to a level we never imagined possible. We’re now seeing vacuums that can clean your home better than ever before. Here are some of the best robot vacuums on display at CES 2021.

You can also take a look at some of the best new smart home tech overall at CES 2021.

Samsung JetBot 90 AI +

One of the biggest annoyances with robot vacuums is that they suck up items they’re not supposed to— phone chargers, shoelaces, curtains, and pens. Samsung’s JetBot 90 AI + aims to relieve some of the frustrations associated with robot vacuums by adding some cool new perks. It has a video camera for home monitoring, where you can check on your home from the companion app.

For obstacle detection, the bot uses lidar, along with 3D sensors and A.I.-enhanced obstacle recognition to avoid obstacles (like that phone charger). The JetBot 90 AI + can also empty itself, with a base that holds dirt deposits so you don’t have to empty the robot after every cleaning cycle. It also has some of the classic features we’ve grown to love like Wi-Fi connectivity and no-go zones. We don’t yet know the price on the JetBot 90 AI + just yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it this year.

Roborock S7

Roborock has impressed us with its recent offerings, and the S7 might just be the brand’s best Bot yet. This is a mopping and vacuuming robot. One of the problems with hybrid mopping/vacuuming robots is that they often mop or vacuum pretty well, but they rarely do well at both functions. Also, many hybrids make you choose between mopping and vacuuming on each cleaning cycle.

The S7 lets you “set it and forget it.” It can detect a rug, lift the mop head, and start vacuuming. It has exceptional cleaning power too, with sonic vibration technology to clean hard floors and 2500 pa suction to clean dirt from deep in carpets. The S7 will be available for $650 in late March.

Eufy RoboVac L80

Eufy has become a serious contender in the budget robot vacuum space with offerings like the 11 series. The brand announced a new robot vacuum at CES 2021, the RoboVac L80, which comes in two variations: A regular model and a hybrid model with mopping capabilities.

What makes the Eufy RoboVac L80 so special? Well, aside from its unique looks, the vacuum boasts twin turbines with a rating of 2,000 pa (suction) each. To put that in perspective, even many of the best robot vacuums on the market don’t come close to that amount of power. The L80 also has other cool features like real-time multi-floor mapping, different cleaning modes, and app control, but the extra power makes this unit so exciting. The L80 and L80 hybrid will cost $550 and $600, respectively. They should be available for sale around mid-2021.

Other Vacuums at CES 2021

In addition to the robots we mentioned above, more vacuums are on display at CES 2021. Crowdfunding success story, Dreame Technology, will showcase its T20 cordless vacuum and its D9 robot vacuum, which is already on sale. Dreame Technology will also launch the T30 vacuum cleaner this year, a “rugged model with a high-speed 150,000 rpm motor, as well as the T10 cordless vacuum cleaner and L10 pro robot vacuum,” the company says in a press release.

Beyond the Boundary Wire: How Yardcare and the New N1600PRO are Leading the Robotic Mower Revolution
With automated routes and advanced mapping, Yardcare N1600 PRO robot lawn mower is made to meet modern lifestyle with smart precision.
Grass, Lawn, Plant

The weekend morning dread is a real situation, and homeowners know it pretty well. I've often woken up with the realization that the next few hours will be spent toiling with the hum of a petrol engine machine and hours of pushing a heavy mower around the yard. We’ve all been there, sweating under the sun, in our quest to achieve a green carpet that looks fine at best, but rarely ever achieves the work done by an expert. A fully automated solution should address all those problems, but finding a reliable one isn't a cakewalk.

The hassles of setting up boundary wire, mastering the navigation, and requiring constant manual supervision don't really sound like an autonomous dream. But tech is finally catching up, and one of its best specimens is Yardcare’s N1600PRO. The latest from Yardcare ensures that lawn care no longer means non-stop manual effort, but relaxed efficiency. If you're a homeowner who is increasingly leaning toward automation to take care of your yard space, Yardcare is here to help you make that smart shift with the N1600PRO.

Apple HomePod Featured

Apple might have new products ready to go, but it’s just not launching them yet. According to a recent report from Bloomberg, inventory for devices like the HomePod, HomePod mini, and Apple TV is running low across Apple Stores globally.

Normally, that’s a clear sign that refreshed models are around the corner. But this time, there’s a twist. Apple is reportedly holding back releases because its next-generation Siri and AI features aren’t ready yet.
