Kwikset is the leader in residential locks, so it was no surprise when the firm announced its Kevo Convert smart lock system. The system will transform any existing deadbolt into a smart lock using the Kevo system. With the Kevo Convert, you can keep your deadbolt on the outside and add all the features of an advanced smart locking system on the inside.

“Kwikset is constantly developing home security solutions that work for a variety of homeowners and renters, so Kevo Convert is the natural next step for our brand,” says Michael Magnani, a senior project manager of Spectrum Brands, Inc. “Kevo Convert quickly fits to the interior side of your door, eliminating the need to remove your current deadbolt or sacrifice the style of your existing door hardware. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s convenient.”

By downloading the Kevo app onto your smartphone, you can lock and unlock your door at the touch of a button so long as your phone is within Bluetooth range. For a one-time fee, users can update their system to the Kevo Plus, which allows you to lock and unlock your door from anywhere using the internet.

The app allows users to create ekeys so you don’t have to worry about anyone losing their keys. The ekeys can be created individually for every member of your household as well as for visiting guests. The process for creating and revoking ekeys is easy, and the app tracks their usage so you know who’s coming and going from your home. The system also has an Auto-Lock feature that automatically locks your door 30 seconds after it has been unlocked, eliminating the need to double check your locks before going to bed.

The Kevo Convert is easy to install and is available for pre-order for only $149, which is fairly easy on the budget. The system is perfect for renters who can’t change out their current hardware or homeowners who don’t want to eliminate the hardware they already have.

Beyond the Boundary Wire: How Yardcare and the New N1600PRO are Leading the Robotic Mower Revolution
With automated routes and advanced mapping, Yardcare N1600 PRO robot lawn mower is made to meet modern lifestyle with smart precision.
Grass, Lawn, Plant

The weekend morning dread is a real situation, and homeowners know it pretty well. I've often woken up with the realization that the next few hours will be spent toiling with the hum of a petrol engine machine and hours of pushing a heavy mower around the yard. We’ve all been there, sweating under the sun, in our quest to achieve a green carpet that looks fine at best, but rarely ever achieves the work done by an expert. A fully automated solution should address all those problems, but finding a reliable one isn't a cakewalk.

The hassles of setting up boundary wire, mastering the navigation, and requiring constant manual supervision don't really sound like an autonomous dream. But tech is finally catching up, and one of its best specimens is Yardcare’s N1600PRO. The latest from Yardcare ensures that lawn care no longer means non-stop manual effort, but relaxed efficiency. If you're a homeowner who is increasingly leaning toward automation to take care of your yard space, Yardcare is here to help you make that smart shift with the N1600PRO.
