Best Prime Day Amazon Deals
This story is part of the Digital Trends Prime Day 2025 coverage

Prime Day is over, but it seems like a few companies forgot to take down their Prime Day deals. Tablets are a great way to play with apps or spend a lazy day on the couch watching shows from the Prime Day streaming service deal that you might pick up as well. Just be sure to wear headphones from one of these Prime Day headphones deals so you don’t annoy your family while jamming out. In any event, the following Prime Day tablet deals come from a variety of brands, including Android tablets from Samsung and Lenovo, but we’ve also noted a shocking number of Apple Prime Day deals for Prime Day iPad deals this year as well, so you can get a great iPad on the cheap. Here are our top picks.

We’ve rounded up our favorite tablet deals below, which includes Apple’s iPads and Android tablets by brands such as Samsung and Amazon. You have to hurry if you want to take advantage of any of these offers though, as Prime Day is technically over.

Is Prime Day a good time to buy a tablet?

Prime Day, as is the case every year, is an excellent time to purchase electronic devices such as tablets, especially if you think Black Friday is still too far away. The discounts will come not from from Amazon, but also from retailers like Best Buy and Walmart, and manufacturers like Samsung and Lenovo.

How to choose a tablet on Prime Day 2024

With all the tablets that are out there, the task of narrowing down your options may be overwhelming for some people. We wouldn’t blame you, as there’s simply too many brands and models to choose from. However, if you need a recommendation, look no further than our roundup of the best tablets, which currently has the 5th-generation Apple iPad Air as the top overall tablet and the OnePlus Pad as our favorite Android tablet. Any discount that we find for these two devices should definitely be up for consideration, but because of high demand, they’re expected to sell out quickly.

These two tablets aren’t the only ones worth buying from this year’s Prime Day tablet deals though. To come up with your own decision, you’ll first have to decide between iPadOS and Android as your operating system of choice. From there, you should take a look at the screen size, as that would dictate whether you prefer portability and being able to hold the tablet comfortably in one hand, or a bigger and brighter look at websites and streaming shows. If you’re planning to take photographs or join video conferences using the tablet, you’ll also want the highest-resolution camera that you can get, and if you’ll be multitasking between several apps, you have to check the power of the tablet’s processor and the RAM that it comes with.

Ultimately though, the most important factor in choosing a tablet for Prime Day is how much you’re willing to spend. With the shopping holiday’s discounts, your cash will get you farther than it normally would. Cheap tablets will become more affordable, and premium tablets will get you savings that you can use towards other accessories, so there will be something for everyone if you shop on Prime Day. You’re going to have to be quick with your purchase though, as the offer that you’ve had your eye on may no longer be there if you decide to return to it at a later time.

There has never been a better time to buy an e-ink reading device
You have run out of excuses to not buy an e-ink reading device.

I have explained the benefits of using an e-ink device over physical books. They are easier to handle, can store your entire library for travel, let you buy books at lower prices, and make looking up words or taking notes effortless.

Another reason to get an e-ink tablet right now is that the e-reader market has never looked this good. There are now e-ink devices for practically every use case and budget, ranging from a pocket-friendly $69 to $600 and beyond.

I gave up physical books and my reading life has never been better
Physical books are great, but e-readers are just better. There, I said it.
supernote and book in hand

If you are a book purist, you might scoff when I recommend an e-reader instead of buying physical books, and I won't blame you. The allure of the smell of pages, the weight of the book in my hands, the whole ritual, is hard to resist.

However, if you allow me some leeway to convince you, there’s a strong argument to be made against physical books and in favor of using e-readers. So let me make the case for e-readers, because once you understand what you've been missing, it's hard to go back.
