Google issued an update to the iOS version of Drive on Monday, bringing with it support for multiple photo and video uploads.
Other new features worked into version 1.2.2 include:
Docs – added Helvetica Neue to supported fonts
Sheets – diagonal scrolling and cell formatting (decimals, currency, date and more)
Slides – improvements to slideshow and animation, and pinch-to-zoom on slides
There is also added support for users of Quickoffice, the Microsoft Office productivity tool that Google snapped up last summer.
Google’s cloud storage client launched in April last year and includes Google Docs in its set-up. Users have access to a wide range of features, including a suite of web-based software comprising word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. The software makes it easy for those with a Google account to share files and collaborate in real time, among other things.
When you sign up to Drive you’re automatically given 5GB of free cloud storage space, and a maximum of 10GB for messages and attachments with Gmail. Pay $2.50 a month and you get 25GB of extra space for Drive and Google+ photos.
