Google Glass gets its first porn app … and then bans it

It’s the age old dilemma. (Or, well, maybe months old.) A new way to interact with the Internet has been created – Google Glass – but what could it, or should it, be used for? Taking pictures? Check. Sending messages to friends? Alright. Getting directions to your favorite watering hole? Done. So what happens after you’ve gotten bored with all that? Well, thank goodness for app developer MiKandi. As reported earlier by BetaBeat, the company has brought to Glass the thing it has been missing all along: porn.

Yes, that’s right. Good ol’ fashioned porn. Oh, and the best part – taking a cue from the hit Broadway show “A Chorus Line” song – the company named the app … wait for it … Tits & Glass. (See what they did there??)

Thanks to the wonders of technology, you no longer have to hide in your room to peruse Tits & Glass. You can do it anywhere. Imagine walking down the street while perusing user-generated photos of naked ‘babes,’ sharing them with your friends, and even voting on which of the photos you like the most.

Of course, to open up the app, you’re going to have to say “Okay, Glass. Open Tits & Glass.” If that’s not awkward for you, then leaving a comment like “That’s one amazing rack, Candy” likely won’t cause you pause either as you yell it while ordering a Grande latte with non-fat milk at Starbucks.

MiKandi insists that, since Glass is so comfortable to wear, and the images are showcased directly in front of your face, watching porn on it results in something akin to a real life experience. (Because, as in real life, you use verbal commands to switch from woman to woman and then shout out your opinions to each one.)

If this is the future of Glass apps, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a (ahem) rise in lewd public behavior. (Not to mention, more bans on the device than already exist.)

Don’t have Glass but still want to get a taste of the app yourself? (Okay, we probably could have worded that better.) Here is the (extremely NSFW) official website.

UPDATE by Jeffrey Van Camp 6-4-2013: Google has now banned “sexually explicit” Glassware. Sorry, Porn aficionados. The new rule states: “We don’t allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material. Google has a zero-tolerance policy against child pornography. If we become aware of content with child pornography, we will report it to the appropriate authorities and delete the Google Accounts of those involved with the distribution.”
