Free doesn’t necessarily mean better. However, the free movies on FAST services are borderline excellent. Yes, there are some clunkers, but if you know where to look, you’ll find some instant classics.

This weekend, Fargo is one of the best free movies to stream. Many believe Fargo is the best movie from the Coen Brothers, and for good reason. Scroll below for the rest of our picks.

Step Brothers (2008)

“Did we just become best friends?” “Don’t touch my drum set.” “Your voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus.” I could go on forever quoting Adam McKay’s Step Brothers, the iconic comedy starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

Brennan Huff (Ferrell) and Dale Doback (Reilly) are childish adults forced to live together when their parents marry. The boys’ rivalry eventually pulls the family apart. To save this blended family, Brennan and Dale will have to put aside their differences and work together like real brothers. Just don’t expect them to like Derek (Adam Scott).

The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

The Cabin in the Woods is a horror movie for fans who prefer comedy over scares. Five college friends (Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, and Jesse Williams) gather for a weekend of partying at a secluded cabin. Unbeknownst to them, a group of scientists is manipulating their experience and leading them to their deaths.

There are still plenty of frightening and gory moments — the entire slaughter sequence at the facility. However, Drew Goddard’s movie works best as a dark comedy that satirizes the horror genre.

Fargo (1996)

The Coen Brothers love their black comedies, and Fargo remains their crowning achievement. “Based on a true story,” Fargo follows Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), a car salesman in Minnesota who hires two goons (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) to kidnap his wife. Jerry needs money, so he plans to pocket the ransom from his wife’s rich father (Harve Presnell).

Things go haywire after the goons shoot a state trooper, attracting the attention of the inquisitive police chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand). Fargo is hilarious and dark. In other words, it’s a Coen Brothers movie.

Harry Potter TV series’ first trailer is out and it feels like a replay I didn’t ask for
HBO had a chance to reinvent Harry Potter, but this feels like a visual rerun.
hbo-harry-potter-tv-series

Well, HBO has finally dropped the first trailer for its Harry Potter TV series, set to premiere this Christmas, and it brings you right back to the beginning. That's broadly the only source of a vague intrigue for me, and I'm being generous here. Yes, it sets the stage for what should be a bold reinterpretation of the Harry Potter world. The trailer, however, settles for a safe, almost unimaginative retread.

Alright, so what am I looking at?
