It may be a Star Wars-heavy month on Disney+, but Marvel fans will undoubtedly be happy to see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse debut on the streamer on May 1. This was one of the few films that defied superhero fatigue in 2023 with a rousing story and an ending that still has us excited to see Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse around two years from now. But at this rate, the third film won’t hit Disney+ until 2029!

Andor season 2 will wrap up the series with six episodes in May, but Star Wars fans will also get a new animated anthology series, Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, on May 4. Meanwhile, the second season of Doctor Who on Disney+ will also wrap up, which leaves one wondering what’s in store for June when neither Star Wars nor Marvel has any shows slated to debut next month.

Our roundup of everything new on Disney+ in May 2025 can be found below, with our favorites highlighted in bold.
