YouTube TV has been home to the venerated NFL Sunday Ticket since the 2023 NFL season, and Google has wasted no time in maximizing the value and feature set of this must-have for serious NFL fans. In preparation for the upcoming 2025-2026 NFL season, viewers can sign up for the NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube TV or YouTube’s Primetime Channels offshoot. Fortunately, handing all Sunday Ticket digital streaming over to Google also means you’ll be able to catch every game from anywhere in the world — whether that’s through the YouTube app on your iPhone or on your big Samsung QD-OLED is entirely up to you.

There are a few more things you should know about the football streaming package, so we went ahead and consolidated all the most important info into this exhaustive NFL Sunday Ticket guide. And if you’re looking for other ways to indulge in your favorite football games, you may also want to check out our roundup of the best live TV streaming services.

How to get NFL Sunday Ticket

Again, to spell it out, you have two options by which you can subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket.

  • NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV: This is the full smash. You get more than 100 linear channels, plus unlimited recording, and your local broadcast channels. And you’ll get NFL Sunday Ticket.
  • NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube: You’ll subscribe via YouTube proper. (This also is referred to as YouTube Primetime Channels.) No extra linear channels. No broadcast channels. Just YouTube. And NFL Sunday Ticket.

NFL RedZone — basically a channel of live scoring attempts as they’re happening — is still available on the YouTube and YouTube TV options, but for separate fees. For the latter, it’s also available as part of the $11-a-month Sports Plus add-on.

How much is NFL Sunday Ticket?

An NFL Sunday Ticket subscription is not inexpensive. That’s by design. A full season still costs a few hundred dollars. The good news? You can pay for NFL Sunday Ticket over four months. Here’s how the pricing options break down:

  • On YouTube TV: A regular subscription will cost $378 for the season when bundled with YouTube TV
  • On YouTube Primetime Channels: A regular subscription costs $480 for the season without a YouTube TV base plan included.

Both plans offer the ability to add NFL RedZone for an additional cost.

NFL Sunday Ticket discounts

If you’re looking to save a few extra dollars on your NFL Sunday Ticket purchase, there’s a couple of ways to score a discount on your plan. First off, though, we recommend checking every few months to see if your internet service provider, a competitive ISP, and/or other brands are offering Sunday Ticket markdowns. Promos can pop up at any time of year, especially as we get closer to fall.

Last year NFL Sunday Ticket was offering active military and veteran discounts when verified via ID.me. While last season’s discount amounted to a roughly 50% savings, the jury is still out on whether the upcoming season will renew the offering.

NFL Sunday Ticket student plan

There’s also a method by which you can pay less via an NFL Sunday Ticket student plan. And it’s a significant discount. Eligible students can get NFL Sunday Ticket for $119 for the season. (Or $129 if you also want NFL RedZone.)

There’s some fine print, of course. You have to be 18 years old, and be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university. That will be verified by SheerID. So you can’t just stick ‘.edu’ on the end of your email and expect to get the NFL Sunday Ticket student discount.

Can you watch more than one game at a time?

Yes! NFL Sunday Ticket supports as many concurrent streams as you want. So you can watch a game on your living room TV while someone else is watching another game in the kitchen or bedroom. (Or both.) Or someone could be watching on their phone. (Note that the student plan is limited to a single stream, though.)

And then there’s multiview: That’s the feature that lets you watch up to four games at once on the same TV, and switch things around at your leisure, so you can swap games as one gets more exciting. Multiview is one of the best features on YouTube TV.

Can you get a refund on NFL Sunday Ticket?

Nope. There is no way to refund NFL Sunday Ticket. Once you buy it, it’s yours. There are no refunds or cancellations.

Does NFL Sunday Ticket automatically renew?

Yes, it does. Both the YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels versions of the NFL Sunday Ticket subscription are set up for automatic renewal. This means that if you don’t want to be surprised by a hefty charge at the start of the next football season, your best bet is to pay for this year’s plan, then immediately cancel. This will keep your 2025 Regular Season Sunday Ticket plan active, while ensuring your membership won’t renew for the 2026 season (unless you want it to, of course).

Does NFL Sunday Ticket include playoffs?

No, NFL Sunday Ticket is only for out-of-market regular season games. This is why you’ll notice the subscription says “2025 Regular Season” instead of 2025-2026 season.

As the playoffs progress, all games should be available on your local networks through whatever live TV service you use.

Will there be blackouts?

According to the current YouTube TV terms and conditions, blackouts are still possible if the home game doesn’t sell out. (As in sell out all of its tickets.) In that case, the game would be unavailable in that region.

YouTube TV uses your billing address ZIP code to determine this — but it’s also possible that it’ll use your phone’s location data if you’re away from home but still within a blackout zone. “If there is an outage in your location,” the T&Cs say, “we’ll do our best to let you know.”

The more things change, the more they stay the same, apparently.

Will there be team packages?

Currently there are no single-team or single-game packages. NFL Sunday Ticket is an all-or-nothing purchase for all out-of-market games during a regular NFL season.

This isn't really news anymore, but it's a repeating cycle. So, here we are, again. Netflix has just — quietly, mind you — raised the price of its subscription bundles. For starters, the base tier that occasionally throws a few ads in your face now costs $8.99 per month, up from the $7.99 monthly fee.
