After showcasing its camera chops with the recently released Find X9 Pro, Oppo appears to be on a mission to raise the bar even higher with the upcoming Find X9 Ultra. According to a fresh leak, the company could equip the device with an even more capable camera system that could give Apple and Samsung a serious run for their money.

In a recent post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the Find X9 Ultra will feature dual 200MP cameras. The device’s 200MP main camera is rumored to offer better low-light performance than a one-inch type sensor, while its 200MP periscope zoom camera could unlock higher-resolution telephoto shots.

Along with these two massive sensors, the Find X9 Ultra will allegedly include a 50MP telephoto camera capable of 10x optical zoom, which is expected to outperform AI-enhanced 10x zoom on competing models from Apple and Samsung. If this leak holds true, Oppo’s next-gen flagship could be one of the best camera phones of 2026.

The Find X9 Ultra is expected to hit the market in April next year and offer top-tier performance with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Oppo has already confirmed that it will pack a massive battery with a rated capacity of more than 7,000mAh.

Oppo won’t be alone in the dual 200MP camera club

Recent leaks suggest Vivo is also gunning for the same setup on its upcoming X300 Ultra, and it could be the first OEM to bring this innovation to the market. Its flagship is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 6.8-inch 2K display.

More Chinese OEMs will likely follow suit, potentially pushing Apple and Samsung to step up their game. For now, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to bring minimal upgrades on the camera front, retaining the 200MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto sensors as last year’s model, while replacing the 10MP 3x telephoto camera with a new sensor.
