Google Nexus One Pictures

The new Nexus One smartphone, nicknamed the “superphone” by Google execs, had its big introduction today. All of the rumors and secrets were true– Google had created its own mobile masterpiece and today at Google’s California headquarters is officially revealed it to the world. The Nexus One boasts a speedy 1 GHz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, a large 3.7-inch screen, an 800 by 480-pixel AMOLED display, and a 5 megapixel video-capable camera with an LED flash. It also is featuring an Android 2.1 operating system. Google will be offering the Nexus One in its new Web Store for $529 without service, or $179 with a new two-year contract from T-Mobile. Other carriers will join T-Mobile in offering the Nexus One in “spring 2010.” Check out our coverage of the Google Nexus One press conference.
