Nikon and Disney team up to help guests improve their vacation photos

Disney and Nikon, the official camera of its U.S. parks, have teamed up on Unforgettable Memories, photography tips for preserving “every magical moment of your Walt Disney World Vacation.” Nikon took over from Kodak as the official camera at Disney parks in 2013; this is its latest collaboration and initiative with Disney to promote good photography from the park guests.

“A Walt Disney World vacation is a magical experience for visitors from around the world, and Nikon remains as committed as ever to giving them the tools to capture and share the love and happiness of the vacation in the quality they deserve,” said Masahiro Horie, director of marketing and planning for Nikon Inc. “Building upon our alliance with Walt Disney World Resort, the ‘Unforgettable Memories’ page serves as a one-stop destination for helping families preserve precious moments that can last a lifetime.”

The collaboration highlights some of the most popular locations in the Disney parks, allowing visitors to access a complimentary photography checklist, curated by Nikon, to take with them so they don’t forget to get pictures of the iconic Disney locations. Also included as part of the Unforgettable Memories page are detailed how-to videos by Nikon Ambassadors — world class photographers in their fields, sponsored by Nikon to help promote and highlight it’s products and initiatives — demonstrating photography techniques and tips to help the guest improve their photography while on their Disney adventure.

Among the locations currently featured on the Unforgettable Memories page are the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Everyone is a photographer these days, as the saying goes, and this new collaboration with Nikon and Disney is a clear attempt to help promote better vacation photos, and by extension, better — unforgettable even — memories of the moments shared while at Disney Parks.
