PORTLAND, ORE – DECEMBER 23, 2013 – Today, Digital Trends announces that it has been selected by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® as the official “Digital Home” media partner at the 2014 International CES®, January 7-10, 2014, in Las Vegas, NV. As the media partner for Digital Home, Digital Trends editors and writers will be on site at CES delivering breaking news of the hottest electronics and appliances arriving in 2014. Digital Trends editors have also served as members of the innovation committee responsible for choosing this year’s most exciting Digital Home products.

In conjunction with CES, Digital Trends will launch its new Digital Home section called “DT Home,” a one-stop guide for anyone who wants to live in a home that’s constantly made more efficient and cool through technology and design. By providing in-depth product reviews, daily discoveries of interesting devices and practical design advice, DT Home will help readers find what’s best for them in the categories of automation, climate control, lighting, kitchen appliances and security.

“Combine the increased convergence of the tech lifestyle and do-it-yourself mentality with the more than $500 billion spent annually on home improvements, and there couldn’t be a better time to launch DT Home,” said Ian Bell, Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Digital Trends. “There’s a huge and growing need for advice on breakthrough home technologies and products and we want to bring our popular style of entertaining and jargon-free coverage to the Home category to guide readers through their purchasing decisions.”

Digital Trends is also building a 6000-square-foot facility adjacent to its headquarters in Portland, Oregon, that includes a home theater, kitchen, bath and laundry room so that testing products can take place in a genuine home environment.

This means more than ever, Digital Trends will be the optimal gateway to CES, and the best way to experience the 2021 convention. The virtual format allows for an unprecedented scale and an in-depth look at the innovations shaping a better world, and the human stories behind them.
