PORTLAND, Ore., January 9, 2019 — Digital Trends, the world’s largest independent tech publisher, has announced its picks for the top tech of CES 2019.

Leading the pack as the overall winner is the Impossible Burger 2.0, the latest iteration of the most meat-like veggie burger on the market. It’s made by Impossible Foods, and it’s the only plant-based burger that bleeds.

“By shrinking the flavor gap between real meat and fake meat, Impossible is making it easier for everyone to make more environmentally conscious food choices — and that’s a big deal,” saidDrew Prindle, emerging tech editor at Digital Trends. “Animal agriculture is the number one cause of environmental destruction in the world, so reducing humanity’s consumption and cultivation of meat is arguably one of the most effective ways that we can combat climate change.”

CES, the Consumer Electronics Show, is the nation’s biggest annual tech event, kicking off each new year by showcasing the best and most exciting upcoming innovations and gadgets before they hit the market.  In addition to the awards, Digital Trends offers extensive coverage of the show through breaking news, product roundups, a daily livestream, and up-to-the-minute updates on social media.

Digital Trends’ editorial staff selected winners for the following categories: Audio, automotive, computing, emerging tech, home appliance, mobile, photography, rideables, smart home, video, wearables, health and wellness, security, sleep, tech for good, and overall winner.

This means more than ever, Digital Trends will be the optimal gateway to CES, and the best way to experience the 2021 convention. The virtual format allows for an unprecedented scale and an in-depth look at the innovations shaping a better world, and the human stories behind them.
