The best iPhone XS Max screen protectors to safeguard that huge display

Add as a preferred source on Google

Getting a screen protector may look simple, but we strongly suggest choosing a protector that fits your needs. Generally, tempered glass protectors offer great durability but add thickness to your phone, whereas protective films often provide much greater coverage and protection. Here are our picks for the best iPhone XS Max screen protectors so you can keep that large display safe and fingerprint-free.

Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector

Best Overall

An excellent glass option from a trusted name, Spigen’s Glass Screen protector is made from tempered glass with a 9H hardness to handle scratches and cracks. It has an oleophobic coating that helps reduce fingerprint marks and smears, and it’s just as clear as the iPhone’s original screen, so you won’t have to worry about losing your phone’s visibility. Additionally, this protector is fully compatible with Spigen’s huge range of cases, making this a great choice if you’re already rocking a case from the brand.

Why we love it:

  • Includes an easy installation kit with an auto-alignment film so you can easily install it on your own
  • No-touch interference lets you scroll endlessly while protecting your screen
  • Thin but tough enough to resist dents and scratches

Tech Armor Ballistic Glass Triple Pack

Best Value

This pack of Tech Armor screen protectors is a great way to make sure you still have an extra protector nearby just in case you break one. Each of the protectors in this triple pack is made from high-quality glass with a 9H hardness that boasts high transparency so your screen remains crisp and clear. The screen protectors come with a 2.5D edge that prevents chipping by carving away at the edges. Tech Armor includes an easy installation tray so you can get the fit right every time, and at just 0.3 millimeters thick you can still fit any phone case you want over your iPhone XS Max. However, they only protect the flat parts of the XS Max’s screen and will not cover the curved edges. Still, it’s a great deal.

Why we love it:

  • With anti-fingerprint coating to keep your screen clear and clean
  • Precise cut to perfectly fit a variety of phone cases
  • Durable and protective multilayered tempered glass

ArmorSuit MilitaryShield

Best Film

This film protector from ArmorSuit is resistant to scratches with a self-healing layer that removes minimal scratches on its own but don’t expect it to be as strong as a glass protector against drops and bumps. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not tough — it still provides a good amount of protection without having to make use of a thick material on your phone’s screen. And for easy application, this pack includes a quick installation kit complete with a microfiber cloth, solution spray, and even an instruction manual.

Why we love it:

  • Smooth to touch without restricting touch response
  • Clear film to protect your screen while getting the most out of your HD display
  • Precisely cut to fit the contours of your phone’s curved shape to provide maximum coverage

XYYZYZ Privacy Screen Protector

Best Privacy

Image used with permission by copyright holder

Using your phone in public can be awkward and unsafe. That’s why we love how the privacy screen protector from XYYZYZ provides excellent protection for your screen as well as your privacy. This tempered glass protector is tough enough to resist dents and scratches on your mobile screen while keeping prying eyes away thanks to its anti-spy feature. This allows the person holding the phone directly in front of them to see the screen clearly, while those peering from a 30-degree angle will have limited visibility. Meanwhile, peering at the screen from a 45-degree angle or more immediately blocks their view. You can also install it on your own with the included installation kit and guide.

Why we love it:

  • Made with anti-grease and anti-fingerprint coating to avoid smudges
  • With 9H hardness that can withstand minimal fall and bumps
  • No white edges and bubbles upon installation
