When it comes to wearable tech, Apple has got smartwatches locked down while Fitbit is almost synonymous with a fitness tracker. Garmin is no stranger to this bustling market and it sure doesn’t shy away from the competition as it strives to combine the functionality of both into one dynamic GPS-centric sports watch. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is one prime example that comes with smart capabilities as much as it can be your virtual personal trainer. And to fuel your performance all the more, you’ll now be able to tune in to your favorite playlist on the go.

Usually listing for $280, this can be the snazzy new thing on your wrist for just $200 on Amazon. You even stand a chance to get more than $80 in savings with an additional $50 discount that can be applied when approved for an Amazon Rewards Visa Card.

Garmin’s Vivoactive 3 Music may not be the most stylish wearable you’d find as its streamlined design sure puts comfort and versatility first. Its standard 20mm rubber strap makes for a breathable fit while at only 1.44 ounces, it’s so lightweight that you might even forget you have it on. Before you worry about looking too sporty in the boardroom, the quick release band is as interchangeable as the level of personalization you can do on the dial with the available watch faces, apps, and widgets from the Connect IQ store. You’ll hardly have any issues with readability as Garmin’s very own Chroma display flaunts a 240 x 240-pixel resolution on its 1.2-inch LCD touchscreen. The company also didn’t skimp on durability, with water resistance to depths of 50 meters, and a 43mm polymer case that is protected under Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.

Not a lot of people may know that Garmin was originally a manufacturer of handheld GPS devices, and it certainly made the right move in integrating this feature for more accurate tracking. That said, fitness is definitely where the Vivoactive 3 Music shines with more than 15 preloaded sports, including swimming, to choose from and the possibility to tailor your own custom workout. The wrist-based heart rate technology is able to deliver more than your beats per minute as it works hand in hand with the VO2 Max estimator to gauge your oxygen uptake, calculate your fitness age, and even help you understand how your body reacts to stressors.

The Vivoactive 3 Music can be paired with a compatible smartphone through Bluetooth connectivity. Besides being able to receive smart notifications for calls, texts, and other app alerts, you’ll also be able to conduct long-term progress tracking as all your stats are synced to the Garmin Connect app. Playback controls are of course expected but this GPS watch steps it up with the capacity to store up to 500 songs and stream music through apps like Spotify.

In comparison to the Apple Watch Series 3 and the Fitbit Ionic, the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is also a multifunctional smartwatch that supports an active lifestyle. You can count on its battery to last you seven days depending on use and Garmin Pay for contactless payments. Get yourself in the groove of getting fit with $80 in savings from Amazon.
