OnePlus’ compact flagship may be leaving China, and I really want it in the US

OnePlus 15T may not be exclusive to China for long.

OnePlus’ compact flagship might finally be preparing to leave China. The OnePlus 15T debuted as the brand’s latest premium “small” powerhouse phone, and new rumors hint that its global variant, the OnePlus 15s, could be launching overseas soon.

The OnePlus 15s is tipped to launch in India by the end of Q2 2026 or in early Q3, and it is expected to be based on the China-only OnePlus 15T. The info arrives from tipster Debayan Roy, who said that the device could follow the same playbook as last year, when the China-exclusive OnePlus 13T was released in India later on as the OnePlus 13s.

Why this compact flagship is getting attention

The OnePlus 15s is expected to be a rebranded OnePlus 15T model for the global market and will likely share most of its headline features. To recall, the 15T sports a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 1,5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a dual 50MP rear camera setup with a 3.5x periscope lens, and an IP69K rating.

But the biggest hook may be its battery. The OnePlus 15T is powered by a massive 7,500mAh cell, which supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. This is massive for a device in this size class. A great example of this is the Galaxy S26, which only houses a tiny 4,300mAh cell for a similar form factor.

So if that carries over to the OnePlus 15s, it could end up being one of the more interesting compact flagships around.

Why the full global release is still in question

For now, this is still just a tipped India launch, not a wider global rollout. The OnePlus 13s remained region-locked to India, with no release in the US or Europe. And since OnePlus has not confirmed the device at all, the global release question still hangs over it. Pricing is also speculative, as the leak only points to a possible Indian starting price of around Rs 58,000 (roughly $619), which is based on the 15T’s China pricing.

OnePlus just needs to go one step further this time around and land somewhere like the US, where genuinely small flagships still feel oddly rare.

iPhone 18 could get a RAM boost, but only a tiny sliver to run AI chores in iOS 27
A new report suggests the extra memory is aimed at keeping Apple Intelligence running smoothly.
Apple iPhone 17 back

Apple's next iPhone may not get a dramatic RAM upgrade, but it could receive just enough extra memory to keep its growing AI ambitions running smoothly. According to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are expected to move from 8GB to 9GB of RAM, primarily to support deeper Apple Intelligence integration in iOS 27.

This free iPhone app uses soothing haptics to help you calm down
This iOS app skips accounts and subscriptions, relying on touch alone to help you relax.

Most mindfulness apps want you to create an account, buy subscription, and give a chunk of your attention before they help you unwind. Vän, a new iPhone app from Swiss indie developer Adrian Stanco, is built to be the opposite.

I found the app on Reddit, and the pitch alone made me curious enough to try it. Instead of sounds or endless scrolling, it leans entirely on haptics, the tiny vibrations your phone is already capable of producing. The result is a feeling of calm you get by simply holding your smartphone rather than watching the screen.
