Even though the Apple Vision Pro is the latest when it comes to VR headsets, especially with its excellent mixed AR experience, it’s incredibly expensive and probably costs more than most people are willing to pay for. As such, probably one of the best affordable options is the Meta Quest 2, which doesn’t even require you to have a fancy computer to run it on. While it’s true that things like the Meta Quest 3 are more powerful, it’s also double the price, depending on the model, and still doesn’t have a ton of library support. To that end, we’ve collected some of our favorite Meta Quest 2 deals and bundles for you to check out below, although if you still want to go for the newer model, you can check out these Meta Quest 3 deals instead.

Should you buy the Meta Quest 2 VR headset?

Of course, deal or no deal, the question remains: Should you buy a Meta Quest 2 VR headset or not? That depends. Are you interested in VR experiences, whether that’s gaming, watching movies and shows, or doing some spacial work? If the answer is yes, or you want to explore virtual environments and try out something new, we highly recommend grabbing a VR headset. The right one is totally up to you.

There’s the point that you’re wearing a headset, so it has to be comfortable and you’ll soon find that some designs, well, they just aren’t, at least not when you’re wearing them for extended periods.  The Meta Quest 2 is definitely comfortable to wear and modular in the sense that you can purchase third-party accessories and straps to make it much better. So, if you don’t like the gear that comes stock, you can always improve upon it.

If you grab the starter bundle or any of the Meta Quest 2 bundles, you’ll get everything you need, including the controllers. There is a headset-only bundle available, too, so be mindful of that when you’re shopping. As for the apps, games, and media, it works like a mobile device in that there’s a storefront to buy various experiences. Some of the best Meta Quest 2 VR games are available outside the platform, like on Steam. There are other ways to watch and play your own media, too, so don’t be put out by the idea of buying exclusive apps. Back in 2022, the Meta Quest 2 VR headset dominated Steam, which meant that a ton of gamers were using it to play VR games.

Either way, you’ll have a great time and if you take advantage of one of these deals, you’re saving quite a bit. Some of the newer VR headsets are much more expensive. The PSVR 2, for example, is about the same price, but you’ll also need a PlayStation 5 to use it, so you could certainly claim it’s more expensive overall. Moreover, when comparing the PSVR 2 vs the Meta Quest 2, you’ll see the Quest 2 is standalone, so you don’t need any extra hardware to use it.

Don’t try this $3 app that makes your MacBook moan, but I know you want to
This absurd $3 Mac app went viral for all the wrong reasons
Computer, Electronics, Laptop, MacBook

There are useful apps, there are pointless app,s and then there is SlapMac, which sits in a category all by itself.

This app has gone viral online for one very stupid (and fun) reason: it makes your MacBook play sound effects when you slap it. Just spank your Mac and hear it moan, fart, or throw punches. The app creator has apparently made $5,000 in just three days, which is what makes the story even more absurd.

Apple’s ridiculous $700 wheels for its desktop PC are gone for good
The $700 Apple wheels are dead, long live ridiculous tech accessories
Machine, Wheel, Tire, Apple Mac Pro Wheels

Apple has officially discontinued the Mac Pro, and by extension, the $700 Mac Pro Wheels Kit is also dead.

Yes, that sentence is still funny in 2026. It marks the end of one of the company's most infamous desktop add-ons. For anyone who somehow missed this saga, the Wheels Kit launched back in 2020 as an upgrade for the Mac Pro. It allowed you to add wheels for $400, but buying the standalone kit later costs a whopping $700 because the base machine already included the standard feet. Apple also sold a separate $300 Feet Kit for people who wanted to swap back.

Macbook Neo stress test shows Apple could’ve made it run cooler with a simple fix
This simple mod makes the MacBook Neo faster.
Apple MacBook Neo with users hands on it

Apple's MacBook Neo arrived as a shock to the industry. It is the new cheap MacBook that is designed to be silent, efficient, and affordable. But a new stress test suggests that it could have been noticeably better with a very simple change.

As per a recent test, the addition of a basic copper plate to the cooling setup can improve both thermals and performance by a meaningful margin. And the frustrating part? It isn't some complex engineering overhaul and is relatively straightforward.
