LG just revealed its 2026 Gram lineup, and the big talking point right now is weight. These new Gram laptops take the idea of an ultra-portable laptop further by using a newly developed material called Aerominum, which makes the chassis exceptionally light while remaining tough and durable.

It also resists scratches better and meets strict military-grade standards for ruggedness. The result is what LG is calling the world’s lightest 17-inch laptop with dedicated RTX graphics, a claim that immediately grabs attention for anyone who hates lugging heavy gear around.

What’s new in the 2026 Gram laptops?

The new Gram series will be showcased at CES 2026 and continues LG’s long history of building super-light notebooks. The lineup includes the LG Gram Pro 17 and LG Gram Pro 16 with some distinct twists.

The 17-inch model stands out because it squeezes a large 2560 x 1600 LCD display, 8GB of GDDR7 memory, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU into a body that feels closer in size to many 16-inch laptops.

LG says this device provides “ample performance for graphics-intensive tasks, content creation, and gaming.” However, it is unlikely to satisfy most hardcore gamers and it might be best suited for entry-level to mid-range gaming at 1080p. Also, this model will only be available in North America.

The 16-inch Pro model sets a new benchmark for being the lightest 16-inch system with both on-device and cloud-based AI support. It has a 2880 x 1800 OLED screen and runs on Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, making it quick for everyday multitasking, editing, streaming, and more demanding jobs.

The 16-inch Gram Pro also introduces what LG calls dual AI functionality. It means the laptop can run certain AI features directly on the device using its hardware, while also tapping into cloud-based AI services when you are online.

Availability and prices have not been announced by LG yet, but the company is gearing up for a full reveal at CES next week.

As CES 2026 gets closer, LG is shaping up to dominate headlines well beyond laptops. The company is already teasing what could become 2026’s next big TV trend, alongside plans to debut a 27-inch 4K OLED RGB stripe panel and a premium OLED TV that could outshine mini LED in peak brightness. Together, these announcements suggest CES 2026 will be a major moment for LG across displays, TVs, and computing.

Microsoft is finally fixing the most annoying thing about Windows 11
Windows 11 Laptop

For many Windows users, the taskbar in Windows 11 has always felt strangely restrictive. Microsoft redesigned the interface with a cleaner, more modern look, but in the process removed several customization options people had been using for years. One of the biggest complaints? The inability to freely move the taskbar around the screen. Now, Microsoft finally seems ready to loosen things up.

The company has started testing a major overhaul of the taskbar and Start menu for Windows 11 Insiders in its Experimental channel. And honestly, this feels like Microsoft acknowledging that users want their PCs to feel personal again.

Asus has a sleek gaming mini PC to offer, but the price will make you pinch yourself
This tiny gaming powerhouse costs more than many full desktop setups

Asus has launched the 2026 ROG NUC 16, a compact gaming PC built for people who want a powerful setup without making room for a full desktop tower. It can sit vertically or horizontally on a desk, and there is also a Moonlight White version for buyers who want something a little cleaner-looking. The problem is the price.

In China, the refreshed ROG NUC 16 is listed at a starting price of CNY 29,999, which is around $4,405. The white version costs CNY 31,999, or about $4,699. Asus has not confirmed global pricing or availability yet, but international prices are likely to be in the same range, or possibly go even higher.

This is the coolest laptop power bank I have ever seen, and I’d wait to see if it actually ships
Krafted Edge solves the most annoying thing about laptop power banks, the fact that they never fit anywhere, and then oversells itself with battery life claims that don't quite add up.
Computer, Electronics, Laptop

I’ve seen a lot of power banks, from the chunky rectangular bricks, round puck-shaped ones, and the flat ones that sit awkwardly next to a laptop in a bag, but none of them has ever looked like this.

The Krafted Edge is a 20,000 mAh power bank built into an aluminum slab measuring 27 x 19 x 1.28 cm, which is almost exactly the footprint of a closed laptop, and that’s intentional.
