NVIDIA took to its blog today to announce two new GPUs, the GeForce GTX 960M and 950M, which will be an expansion of its GTX 900M lineup.

The GeForce GTX 960M and 950M will work with features such as ShadowPlay, which allows for seamless video uploading onto YouTube and live streaming on Twitch. They will also support BatteryBoost, a feature that gives users more battery life while using their device.

NVIDIA has also made sure that all of its game-ready drivers are Windows Hardware Qualification-certified. This means that the new GeForce GTX models have been tested on more than 500 different platforms for quality and stability. In addition, the products support DirectX 12.

“Today’s launch is with immediate availability too, so gamers today have more thin and light gaming notebooks to choose from than ever before. In fact, many of them have now joined the ‘size does matter’ club, which means their notebooks are less than one-inch thick. So, if you’ve been itching to take your gaming on the go with a portable notebook design, now’s your chance to play with the big boys!” Nvidia wrote on its blog.

Nvidia has updated its website to reflect specs for the GTX 960M and 950M. The GTX 960M has 640 CUDA cores, unknown boost clockspeed, GDDR5 memory clocked at 2,500MHz on a 128-bit bus, and a 1,096MHz base clock. Meanwhile, the GTX 950M has a 914MHz base clockspeed, 1,000MHz (DDR3) or 2,500MHz (GDDR5) memory clockspeed, and 32GB/s or 80GB/s of memory bandwidth.

The NVIDIA GTX 960M is debuting first in the Alienware 13, Asus G501, Acer V Nitro, HP Omen, and Lenovo Y50.
