Vote on collector’s edition content for Dead Island 2

Add as a preferred source on Google

Publisher Deep Silver has set up a community survey to let fans decide what will be found in the collector’s edition of Dead Island 2 when it releases in Spring 2015.

The survey features an assortment of items ranging from traditional goods like an art book, figurines, or digital content, to much more unusual fare like a zombie arm back scratcher or the “Rick Furry super cuddly plush toy cat.” The 28 items listed on the survey are to be rated by fans on a scale of 1 to 5, from least desired to most.

Voting is open now until July 14, with Deep Silver announcing the winning content at a later date.

Dead Island 2 is set in California, with the Golden State under quarantine, picking up the storyline of Dead Island and Escape Dead Island several months after the events on the Banoi Islands. The game is being developed by Yager Development, taking over for Techland, who had developed the first two games in the main series. The E3 trailer for Dead Island 2 can be seen below.

I played like a rat in Arc Raiders, and the loot was disgustingly good
Ratting my way downtown to the best gear
An ambush in Arc Raiders

I did not go into Arc Raiders planning to play like a rat. After a few bad runs, I had lost some of my good gear and just wanted to blow off some steam in the game's unofficial PvP arena "Stella Montis". In the best-case scenario, the goal was to go in guns blazing, borrowing some fine piece of equipment from fellow raiders, and booking it to the extract. The worst-case scenario, where I would lose everything, didn't bother me since I was running a free loadout.

Stella Montis has a reputation. It is built for tight and tense corridors that encourage player engagement. But another reason for its infamy is how it exposes one of the players' biggest frustrations with this game, which is the free leadout problem. Free loadout players arrive with a basic gun, ammo, shield, and health, which is not much on paper, but enough to become dangerous when they have nothing meaningful to lose.
