Electronic Arts has announced it has pushed forward the launch of its Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis titles for the Nintendo Wii to June 8, corresponding with the launch of the new Wii MotionPlus controller accessor. The Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be packaged with the MotionPlus in the North America and Europe, while Grand Slam Tennis for the Wii will be packaged with the MotionPlus accessory in Europe only.

“This was important for us to bring in our ship dates for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis to hit right at the launch of the new Wii MotionPlus accessory in North America,” said EA Sports group VP Todd Sitrin, in a statement. “Fans deserve great games that use the new accessory, and now they’ll have two that deliver authentic sports motion as soon as the Wii MotionPlus hits stores.”

The Wii MotionPlus attached to the end of a standard Wii controller as an add-on to the existing accelerometer and sensor bar, letting the remote more quickly and accurately track motions in 3D space. The idea is to offer a 1:1 response between a player’s motions and their on-screen actions.

Both EA games have been rated E for “Everyone” by the ESRB; Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will retail for $59.99 with the MotionPlus; both games will be available for $49.99 without the accessory.
