HBO Go arrives on the PS3

Add as a preferred source on Google

HBO’s online, on-demand streaming video service, HBO GO, has launched on the PlayStation 3. The service requires an existing subscription to HBO’s cable TV service, but all subscribers can gain access to the app at no additional cost.

The app offers up most of the content HBO airs, including all of its top-rated shows. You may not be able to find some of the network’s older programs, like Arliss or Dream On (a fact our own Adam Rosenberg had to bitterly come to terms with), but the catalog goes back several years and includes the complete runs of ongoing and recently aired shows like True Detective, Eastbound and Down, and Game of Thrones. HBO Go also offers dozens of movies, comedy specials, sporting events, and more.

The app is already available on multiple devices, including Apple’s iDevices, Amazon Kindle Fire, and Microsoft’s Xbox 360, to name a few. As mentioned, however, there is a slight catch: you must also have your HBO subscription through an approved cable provider. The list of authorized providers is fairly long and growing, though.

The HBO Go app will continue to appear on more and more platforms throughout the year, including the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. No date has been set for either device yet, but both are expected to get the app later this year.

Your PC might actually run Forza Horizon 6 just fine
Forza

Forza Horizon 6 is shaping up to be a new visual showcase, but its PC requirements tell a different story.

Despite the next-gen graphics, the game sticks to relatively approachable specs, especially for modern AAA games. This is a welcome surprise in a time when new titles often feel like they demand a full system upgrade.
