You have a lot of options for PS5 controllers, but the standard DualSense is always a reliable pick. It comes packed with great features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to really immerse you in the best PS5 games. However, if there's one feature many people find more annoying than useful, it's the speaker. This is one PS5 setting we highly recommend you change, so follow along to quickly disable this irritating speaker.

What You Need

When you're ready to disable the speaker on your DualSense, follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Click the Settings gear icon from your PS5's home screen.

Step 2: Choose Accessories from the next menu.

Step 3: Select the Controller (General) option.

Step 4: Scroll down and click Controller Speaker, then drag the toggle all the way to the left to disable sound from the speaker.
