Apple’s iPhone launch calendar may get a lot busier in 2027. A new leak claims the company has six new iPhone models lined up across the year, and if most of it is accurate, we could be looking at the biggest iPhone roadmap in years.
According to known tipster, Digital Chat Station, Apple’s early 2027 lineup could include the iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18, and iPhone 18e. The fall lineup is expected to bring next-generation Pro models and a second foldable iPhone, reportedly referred to as iPhone Ultra 2.

Cheaper iPhones are seeing an odd release
The early 2027 models sound like a mixed bag. The iPhone Air 2 is tipped to have a 6.55-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED display, while the standard iPhone 18 could get a 6.3-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED panel. Apple’s iPhone 17 saw one of the biggest glow-ups when the display doubled its refresh rate last year, but the iPhone 18e might still miss this feature.
The most affordable smartphone will reportedly sport a smaller 6.12-inch LTPO OLED display with a max refresh rate of 60Hz. In other words, there is no ProMotion in sight yet. With budget Android smartphones also offering a smoother screen, this might be a hard pill to swallow in 2027. But if this report is true, the 2026 iPhone lineup will only offer the premium models, with the entry-level models expected to arrive later on.

The fall lineup looks packed
The second half of 2027 is where Apple’s roadmap gets even more interesting. The new leak points to the iPhone 19 Pro series having completed mold testing, while the second foldable iPhone Ultra is also undergoing wide foldable screen mold testing.
Apple is rumored to be preparing a major redesign for the Pro models for the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, and a second foldable iPhone would make the year feel more significant.
