Nook HD and HD+ are on sale again

The week before Mother’s Day Barnes & Noble slashed prices for its Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets. Last week, the bookseller did it again, this time ahead of Father’s Day. That sale was supposed to end yesterday, but this morning B&N announced that they’re extending the price cuts until … they decide to stop. If you missed out on getting a $130 Nook HD or a $150 Nook HD+, now you have more time to gather your pennies. The sale is back on.

We don’t have a time frame for when this sale will end, making it hard to tell if urgency is required. It could go on for months since the official reasoning is that B&N wants to help customers “gear up for a great summer reading season.” Or it could go on until there are no more Nook HD and HD+ units in stock. That’s a disturbing notion, but wouldn’t be completely unexpected. Rumors have swirled for a while now that Barnes & Noble intends to sell off the Nook Media division. This could amount to a clearance sale, but that raises the question of whether you want to buy a tablet with an uncertain future, even at a low price.

There are reasons to go ahead and jump on this. The Nook HD and Nook HD+ are both good tablets with great design, beautiful screens, and access to the Google Play Store. We like them both, but the Nook HD+ in particular stands out as one of the least expensive yet still good tablets in the 9- to 10-inch size.

You can get the heavily discounted Nooks at Nook.com, Barnes & Noble stores, or any of the retail partners like Best Buy and Radio Shack.

The best Google Pixel deals of 2026: big savings on Google’s AI phones
The home screen on the Google Pixel 8 Pro.

Google's Pixel 10 lineup has been out for a bit, and if you've been on the fence about switching to Android's gold standard, current discounts across Amazon make this the best time to buy. We're seeing up to 26% off across the entire Pixel family, including phones and accessories.

Why buy a Pixel right now?
Google has always built the Pixel line around one idea: the smartest possible Android experience. With the Pixel 10 series, that philosophy gets a significant upgrade thanks to deep Gemini AI integration: Google's most capable AI assistant to date. It handles everything from real-time call screening and live translation to on-device photo editing and natural-language search, and it does so more seamlessly than any other Android on the market.
Add in Google's reputation for exceptional cameras, clean software, and the longest OS update commitments of any Android manufacturer, and the Pixel 10 lineup makes a compelling case for itself even at full price. At these discounted prices, it's a genuinely hard argument to beat.
