NFL games are coming to CBS All Access streaming service starting this weekend

One of the major pain points for those looking to cut the cord is the lack of sports programming. This is getting better — especially with cable-like services like Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and DirecTV Now — but it’s still not easy for those who don’t want to subscribe to 50-plus channels just to watch a few football games. That is about to change, as CBS has signed a deal with the NFL to bring games to its CBS All Access streaming service.

“CBS has been one of our most trusted and valuable partners for over 50 years, and we’re happy to extend our relationship with them in new and exciting ways,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “Distribution of our games on CBS All Access is a win for the millions of NFL fans across the country, especially those looking to watch our games on these emerging digital platforms.”

Subscribers to CBS All Access will have access to all NFL On CBS content, including Sunday games, Thursday Night Football, and more. This includes all of CBS’ regular, preseason, and postseason games, complete with live pregame and halftime coverage. The new deal will also allow CBS All Access subscribers to sample content from NFL Game Pass, the NFL’s own digital subscription service, which offers on-demand access to games and other programming.

CBS All Access starts at $6 per month, with a $10 commercial-free option also available. The app is available on iOS, Android, Windows 10, and the web, as well as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Roku Players, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Fortunately, football fans don’t have long to wait. The deal begins on this weekend on Sunday, December 4 — just in time for cord-cutters to catch a few games.

Spotify has removed more than half a million streams from Malcolm Todd’s song “Earrings” after finding suspected bot activity, according to a report by Financial Times.

The track, first released in 2024, suddenly rose to No. 1 on Spotify’s daily U.S. chart after a sharp jump in streams. At the same time, traders on prediction market Kalshi had been betting on whether Todd would land a No. 1 song on Spotify USA before the end of June. There is no suggestion Todd or his team were involved in any attempt to boost the song’s numbers. Kalshi has said it is investigating the matter.

Scary Movie 6 returned after more than a decade, and the gamble paid off at the box office. The sixth installment debuted to $55 million domestically, the best opening weekend in the series' history, and went on to gross over $215 million worldwide as of late June.

Ahead of the movie's June 5 theatrical release, Wayans Bros. Entertainment launched a website called Subservient Ghostface, where you type a command and watch the masked killer carry it out on screen. It's a clever campaign that borrows directly from Burger King's famous Subservient Chicken stunt from 2004, swapping the chicken suit for the horror icon Ghostface from Scream.
