Best Sony Xperia 1 cases and covers

Add as a preferred source on Google

The Sony Xperia 1 is one of the most impressive smartphones to come out of 2019, thanks to its immersive 6.5-inch OLED screen. Keeping that screen safe is priority number one for Xperia users, so you’ll need a case that can protect your phone from the many hazards of everyday life. Whether you prefer a hard case, a skin, or anything in between, we have the scoop on the best cases for the Sony Xperia 1.

Sony Style Cover Touch Case

This eye-catching official case from Sony has a completely unique design that includes a transparent front cover that’s also touch sensitive, so you can use your Xperia 1 without opening it. It’s a sleek, light case that offers basic 360-degree protection, just don’t expect rugged drop protection. As you’d expect the fit is perfect with precise cutouts and easy access to all the phone’s features. We really love the fact you can not only see incoming calls and messages through the cover, but act on them. The purple version is the one we’d choose, but you can also go with classic black. It’s a bit pricey, but you won’t find another case like this.

Spigen Rugged Armor Case

In classic black, with mock carbon fiber panels top and bottom, this case looks classier than the price would suggest. The flexible TPU with interior air cushions will absorb impact shock, so it should guard your Xperia 1 from minor falls. It also features a raised lip around the screen to prevent it from touching down. There are accurate openings for the camera, fingerprint sensor, and charging port, and also tactile button covers that are well-defined with a textured finish on the power button.

Mulbess Vintage Flip Leather Wallet Case

Rather than investing in a separate screen protector for your Xperia 1, consider picking up this leather wallet case from Mulbess, which offers 2-in-1 protection with a stylish, faux-leather finish and flexible TPU inner. The magnetic closure keeps your phone safe in your bag or pocket, and there are two card slots and a money slip pocket for your cash or ID. The best bit is the phone’s kickstand function so you can watch videos or movies. The coffee color looks pretty stylish, but this case is also available in black, tan, dark blue, or wine red.

Anccer Ultra-Thin Case

For those who don’t want to add bulk to the slim lines of the Xperia 1, this ultra-thin case from Anccer is the ideal choice. At just 0.8mm thick, it’s one of the slimmest cases around but doesn’t skimp on protection thanks to its advanced PC construction — so your phone is protected from drops, bump, and scratches. We love the fact that there’s a raised bezel around the camera lens, offering top-notch protection. We’d choose the sophisticated forest green version, but it’s also available in a vibrant metallic blue or rose gold.

Olixar Leather Back Case

Though it’s not real leather, this TPU case from Olixar gives your Xperia 1 a vintage camera case feel with central stitching that runs down from the camera suite and “Auto focus” etched into the top. It’s a typical one-piece TPU shell that’s flexible, making it easy to fit and capable of reducing the impact of any bump or fall on the phone. It’s a slim fit, with accurate cutouts, and pronounced button covers. You’ll also find a slight bezel around the screen to help safeguard it.

Spigen Liquid Crystal Case

Sometimes you just want a lightweight, clear case to add a slim layer of basic protection to your phone — this offering from Spigen ticks all the boxes, at a great price. Its durable TPU construction is flexible, so it’s easy to fit, and it provides reinforced cover for all the phone’s buttons. This is definitely the case to go for if you want to show off the Xperia 1’s sleek design.

Apple says Lockdown Mode thwarted spyware attacks with a clean slate
Apple’s strongest defense is actually holding up
Lockdown Mode information page on an iPhone 14 Pro.

Apple says it has not seen a successful spyware attack on any iPhone with Lockdown Mode enabled, a claim it shared with TechCrunch.

Lockdown Mode arrived in 2022 as an opt-in feature for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It was introduced as a stricter security mode for people at high risk of targeted attacks, such as journalists, activists, and government officials.

The Dynamic Island could shrink on the iPhone 18 series, and not just on the Pro models
One leaker, one claim, and a big question: is Apple genuinely ready to give every iPhone buyer the same design treatment as Pro owners this cycle?
Apple iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange leaning on a gray wall.

Apple’s Dynamic Island has been around long enough that most people have made their peace with it or forgotten it’s there. In fact, I’ve seen people associating the pill-shaped notch with newer iPhone models (released in the last 3 years). Now, a fresh leak suggests that the notch replacement is about to shrink, not just on the expensive models.

What did the leaker actually say?

Apple Podcasts finally gets serious about video, adds multiple YouTube-inspired features
With offline downloads, Picture-in-Picture, and a dedicated video hub, iOS 26.4 turns Apple Podcasts into a platform creators can no longer afford to ignore.
Electronics, Phone, Mobile Phone

For years, the Apple Podcasts app supported video, at least it did technically, but nobody used it. Creators ignored it, while listeners forgot it. Meanwhile, other platforms like YouTube and Spotify quietly built empires on video podcasting. However, that changes with the iOS 26.4 update, or at least that is what Apple hopes for.

Video podcasting exploded in popularity in recent years, with audiences gravitating toward platforms that treated the format well (as already mentioned above). Despite being an iPhone user, I personally consume podcasts on YouTube (I briefly paid for the Premium membership as well).
