What’s happened? At WWDC earlier this year, Apple previewed new smart boarding passes in iOS 26 to use in Wallet. These promised live flight updates, airport navigation, and checked-bag tracking inside the Find My app. Now United Airlines is one of the first big carriers to support the new format.

  • United’s updated boarding passes now show live flight progress using Live Activities on the lock screen, according to 9to5Mac.
  • Travelers can view airport maps directly in Wallet for easier navigation.
  • Bag tracking integrates with Find My for real-time luggage updates.
  • Apple says more airlines, including Delta, American, Air Canada, and Qantas, will roll out support soon.

This is important because: It marks Apple’s biggest push yet to make Wallet central to travel. Beyond digital tickets, it’s now a live, interactive travel hub.

  • United’s early adoption signals a broader shift toward real-time travel automation on iPhone.
  • Sharing the live tracker with friends lets them follow your flight without exposing seat or group details.
  • It could eventually replace airline apps for many travelers, consolidating everything in one place.

Why should I care? If you fly United, this update means fewer app switches and more visibility from gate to baggage claim.

  • Travelers can see exactly where their flight and bags are, no refresh needed.
  • The feature makes Wallet feel less static and more like a live companion app.
  • Frequent flyers will likely see similar features on other airlines within months.

Okay, so what’s next? Apple says more carriers are coming online before year’s end, with expanded rollout through 2026.

  • For now, users must manually enable Live Activity tracking within Wallet for each flight.
  • User reports suggest Air Canada has also added the functionality, and its App Store listing states “Upgraded Apple Wallet Boarding Pass: Customers using iOS 26 can now enjoy an enhanced experience”
  • Expect tighter integration with Apple Maps and Messages for itinerary sharing and travel alerts.

The feature lets you quickly create stickers with a simple long-press gesture, making it incredibly easy to share custom stickers with friends and family. Now, Google is adding one more layer of polish to the experience: a dedicated folder that automatically stores every sticker you've ever made.

Business Card, Paper, Text

Missed calls from unknown numbers used to be easy to ignore, but now they’re harder, especially since scammers spoof real local numbers and clone familiar voices with AI. Malwarebytes has launched a direct answer to that problem.

A free, standalone reverse phone lookup tool that tells you whether a number is safe, suspicious, or a known scam, so that you don’t call it back unnecessarily. It’s called Scam Number Check and it is available now at malwarebytes.com/scam-check/phone. The best part is that you don’t need an account or subscription to access it.
