A major concern with earbuds, and most headphones really, is that they can cause hearing loss because of how they isolate sound, especially at loud volumes. But it doesn’t have to be that way, according to Oladance. Instead of the traditional in-ear design employed by most headphone makers, the Oladance earbuds have an open-ear design. They rest on top of your outer ear, gently and yet securely, which is great if you’re active, like going for a run, working out, or on the move. There are no tips, so they never go inside your ear, which means they’re better for your eardrums than traditional buds. Even so, they offer superior sound so you’ll get a pleasant, immersive experience no matter what you’re listening to. Full transparency keeps you connected and tuned into your environment while you’re listening as well. To coincide with Prime Day, they’re on sale for $150, and from July 12 until July 13 they’ll be even cheaper at $119, down from $179. You can check out the sale or keep reading for more on these rather unique earbuds.

Crowned the winner of the Red Dot Award in 2022 because of their intelligent and unique design, the Oladance Open Ear Headphones and Wireless Earbuds have a lot to offer. For starters, they come in several vibrant colors, including Cloud White, Interstellar Blue, Martian Orange, and Space Silver. They come with a matching carrying case that can be used to store and charge the headphones via a wired connection.

Battery life is excellent at up to 16 hours per charge, achievable thanks to the large-capacity 160mAh rechargeable batteries, with a charging time of one-and-a-half to two hours. Two powerful 16.5mm drivers deliver superior acoustic sound, but thanks to the design, you can avoid hearing damage and still hear the surrounding environment.

They fit comfortably on the outside of the ear — not inside — to offer a safer and healthier listening experience. The five-point support fit system ensures they remain snugly in place, and the skin-friendly silicone is soft and comfortable. Setting the headphones on the outside of the ear has no negative impact on sound quality, so you’ll hear clear highs, booming lows, and punchy bass. There’s no quality compromise. This also allows for some rather unique scenarios you wouldn’t get with other, comparable earbuds or headsets. For example, you can still hear and remain responsive to your family while wearing the headphones, even if your music is on a loud volume. It also keeps you connected and tuned into your surroundings which is important if you’re outdoors, like cycling or running, where it’s important to remain aware of traffic and nearby events.

The earbuds are IPX4 water and sweatproof, so you can wear them while running, even in the rain. Smart touch controls allow you to skip tracks, adjust volume, and pause music quickly and easily. Moreover, you can take calls and access your phone-native voice assistant from the headphones.

Normally, the Oladance Open Ear Headphones are $179, but they’re on sale right now for $149 as part of an Amazon Prime daily deal. From July 12 to July 13 that price will drop even lower to $119. It’s the best time to snag these exquisite headphones if your interest is piqued!

The Galaxy S26 Ultra might not see much of a battery upgrade after all
It looks like it will stay the same as the last five years.
The back of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
