Motorists who live in Europe's wealthier countries are more likely to buy an electric car, according to a study. Conversely, those who live in poorer nations are less likely to give up gasoline. The study reflects the fact that EVs remain more expensive to build -- consequently, to buy -- than gasoline-powered models.
