Samsung‘s annual Unpacked event is just around the corner, and the company is set to take the wraps off its new foldables in July. We are expecting the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide that will compete directly with the iPhone Fold, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 to take center stage. Ahead of the big day, a fresh batch of leaked cases, courtesy of Android Headlines, has given us our best look at these phones.

What do the cases tell us about the Fold 8 and Fold 8 Wide?

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the flagship of the bunch, and the case cutouts give us a good sense of its shape. The camera layout and button placement line up with the polished, familiar Fold look we have come to expect, so do not expect a dramatic redesign here. The aramid fiber cases come fitted with a kickstand, hinting that Samsung still sees this as a phone built for propping up and watching content on that big inner screen.

The Z Fold 8 Wide is where things take an interesting turn. The cases are noticeably broader, confirming the passport-style wider body we have been hearing about. That extra width should make the unfolded display feel more tablet-like, perfect if you care more about watching Netflix or YouTube than squeezing in productivity apps.

To me, the phone looks a bit too squarish and would not be that easy to handle. I prefer the leaked design of the iPhone Fold, featuring rounded corners, which should make the device sit more easily in the hands. That being said, we would have to wait for the official unveiling before making any judgment.

Are there any surprises with the Galaxy Flip 8?

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 keeps things familiar, and the cases suggest a design that carries over the compact clamshell look without any big surprises. We can see the Qi2 magnetic charging rings on the clear cases, but whether they will be limited to the case itself or baked into the phones, we cannot tell.

While leaked cases are not the full picture, they give us a solid sneak peek at what the Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Wide, and Z Flip 8 will look like before the official reveal. If these images are anything to go by, Samsung is sticking to its winning formula while quietly expanding the lineup with that intriguing wider Fold.

iPhone 18 Pro revealed in a massive leak

Most iPhone leaks are predictable. You'll see a case show up or an early leak showcase the mold of the upcoming iPhones. But the leak this time around is a bigger deal, since it has basically just revealed the device as it's being tested.

A new post from leaker Ice Universe claims to show the iPhone 18 Pro undergoing a drop test. The clip itself is short, but it gives us a proper look at an unreleased Pro iPhone in a controlled test environment. This reveals that it is durable enough to handle a basic fall, though the thickness is still surprising, and the weight is still unknown.

Better quality, smaller file size, and no status bar. iOS 27's video frame feature beats screenshots on every count.

If you've ever been on vacation and chose to record video instead of taking photos only to avoid missing the fun moments, thinking you’d pause and take screenshots later, you might have ended up questioning your decision later.

You see, the process involves multiple steps, starting from hunting for the right frame, pausing, and taking a screenshot. If it doesn’t look good, you go back to the video, pause somewhere else, and try taking another screenshot. You see where I’m going with this?

Apple is famous for keeping future iPhones under lock and key. This time, however, the leak didn't come from a case maker or an overenthusiastic tipster. According to Reuters, confidential files linked to the iPhone 18 Pro have surfaced on the dark web following a cyberattack on Tata Electronics, one of Apple's most important manufacturing partners in India.

The leak goes far beyond a few blurry photos
