Samsung’s Wireless Charger Duo can charge two devices at the same time

Apple teased a wireless charger last year that could charge up to three devices at the same time, but even though the pad was supposed to arrive earlier this year, we’ve yet to see it in actual existence. Well, Samsung has beaten Apple to the punch with its new Wireless Charger Duo, a wireless charging pad that’s capable of charging two devices at once.

Sure, it can’t charge as many devices as Apple is promising, but it’s still a step above single device wireless charging pads. The Wireless Charger Duo has two charging spots — on one side there’s a circular stand to rest a smartphone on, and the other side is flat, permitting users to lay a smartwatch or another phone on it.

On the front of the charging pad, there’s two red LED light indicators that show up whenever you’re charging a device. It also comes with a — rather large — wall adapter.

Both devices charge simultaneously, and supports up to 7.5 watts Fast Charge wireless charging output. It also accepts an input of 12 V and 2.1 A with a single USB-C port on the back. For more efficient Fast Charging, there’s a built-in fan and vent that keeps the device as well as the charger from overheating.

The Duo isn’t even the first dual charger for Samsung. The company released the Dual Wireless Charging Tray last year, but it simply was a flat charging pad. With the new product, you have the benefit of propping your smartphone up so you can easily see the screen.

Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat will be capable of charging three devices at once, such as an iPhone, AirPods in the wireless charging case, and the Apple Watch. But since different devices need different amounts of power, the pad will reportedly be able to detect which device is placed where and then supply the correct amount of power to each one. Some rumors claim the AirPower charging mat will be released in September alongside the 2018 iPhone devices, though others aren’t as confident.

Apple has yet to publicly comment on the status of the AirPower since announcing it at its event in September last year, but for now you may be able to use the Samsung charger to juice up two of your Apple devices. Of course, if you’re an Android user, you can use the Qi-supported Wireless Charger Duo to top up your smartphone and smartwatch as well.

Samsung announced the Wireless Charger Duo alongside the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch at its Unpacked event in New York City.

The Wireless Charger Duo is available online and in stores now, and sells for $120.

iOS 27’s Liquid Glass slider looks simple, but it’s more useful than I expected
Text, Document, Business Card

Let's be honest: few iOS design changes have sparked as much debate as Liquid Glass. When Apple first introduced it with iOS 26, the internet immediately split into two camps. Some people loved the fresh, translucent look, while others couldn't stand it and felt it made parts of the interface harder to read. I happened to be firmly in the first camp. At the time, I was using an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and installing the update was one of the first things I did. I loved how the new design made iOS feel more modern and dynamic. The transparency effects gave the interface a sense of depth, making the entire experience feel fresh again.

That said, it's easy to understand why not everyone felt the same way. After months of feedback, screenshots, hot takes, and endless debates online, Apple eventually responded by giving users more control. Instead of forcing everyone into the same look, it introduced options that let people choose between a clearer glass effect and a more tinted appearance. With iOS 27, Apple is putting the Liquid Glass debate completely in your hands. A new slider lets you customize the effect exactly the way you want it, whether you prefer a crystal-clear look or something easier on the eyes. Here's what it does and how to make the most of it on your iPhone.

Apple users are being targeted by a familiar tech support scam
Apple users face a new wave of fake iPhone and iCloud security warnings

AI has made online scams harder to spot by making deepfakes, voice cloning, and fake messages more realistic. Even so, the old tech support scam is still catching victims. For years, fraudsters often posed as Microsoft support workers. Now, reports suggest many are shifting their attention to Apple users.

Consumers are reporting a rise in fake “Apple High Alert” messages that claim an iPhone, iCloud account, or Apple ID has been compromised. These messages are designed to make people panic and react quickly before they can stop to check whether the warning is real.

iOS 27 puts a much better dictation experience on your iPhone, and you must enable it
A better dictation system is already on your iPhone. Apple just didn't switch it on.
Electronics, Phone, Mobile Phone

If you have an iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, or iPhone Air running iOS 27 beta, you have a meaningfully better dictation system on your device right now.

However, Apple did not turn it on by default, and most users have no idea it is there.
