Samsung’s leaked Qi2 wireless powerbank offers a 5,000 mAh capacity for a steep price

Samsung’s Qi2 era may finally be magnetic, with a sleek design, official accessories, slower charging speeds, and a price that quietly challenges third-party rivals.

The Galaxy S25 series was “Qi2-ready,” so you’d need a magnetic wireless charger to use the handsets with Qi2-compatible accessories such as battery packs and wallets. However, that might not be the case with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is rumored to be fully Qi2-compatible.

All the smartphones in the S26 series should feature a built-in magnetic profile (circular in shape), underneath the back panel, that allows a convenient and secure connection with third-party Qi2-compatible accessories.

5,000 mAh wireless powerbank for $70.22 is quite expensive

Now, a new report from the German publication WinFuture suggests that Samsung could launch its own “Magnetic Wireless Powerbank EB-U2500” (translated from German) alongside the Galaxy S26 series, as an official Qi2-based accessory.

The publication claims to have shared the first official photos of the EB-U2500 wireless battery pack. It reportedly has a total capacity of 5,000 mAh and provides 15W output via Qi2 (slower than the new Qi2.2 standard or MagSafe charging, both of which offer 25W output).

With the USB-C to USB-C cable provided in the box, the battery pack offers 20W output. It also supports USB Power Delivery (PD) and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC). So, you can also use the powerbank with smartphones that comply with Qi 2, USB PD, or QC standards.

Regarding the device’s design, it appears to have a warm, off-white or light-gray finish with a textured surface. On the front, there’s the company’s logo, a metallic kickstand, and five LED battery indicator lights.

There’s a power button at the bottom of the right frame, and a circular magnetic ring at the back that snaps onto the back of the Galaxy S26 handset (or the Galaxy S25 with the magnetic charging case).

In Germany, Samsung’s new 5,000 mAh Magnetic Wireless Powerbank could retail for €59.90 (about $70.22 at today’s exchange rate), which is relatively high given its overall capacity.

For reference, the Anker Nano powerbank (5,000 mAh, Qi2-compatible) is available on Amazon for $54.99. The same company also sells the MagGo 10,000 mAh Qi2 powerbank at $79.99.

The higher retail price aside, the report sort of confirms the presence of Qi2 charging technology on the Galaxy S26 series, along with an official accessory for charging their phones on the go.

Siri is years late to the AI party, but it’s iOS 27 overhaul could still be a beta experience
Siri spent 15 years in beta and might stay there longer
Electronics, Mobile Phone, Phone

Apple is reportedly preparing one of the biggest Siri redesigns in years with iOS 27, but even after multiple delays, the company may still label the upgraded assistant as a beta product. According to reports from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, internal test versions of iOS 27 already refer to the revamped Siri as a beta experience and include an option allowing users to leave the Siri beta entirely.

The move would be unusually familiar for longtime Apple users. When Apple originally introduced Siri in 2011, the assistant itself launched under a beta label before Apple quietly removed the branding in 2013. Despite that, Siri has continued to face criticism for lagging behind competitors in reliability, conversational abilities, and overall intelligence.

Apple’s long-awaited Siri overhaul in iOS 27 could introduce a feature that most AI chatbots still treat as optional: automatic deletion of AI conversations. According to Mark Gurman's Bloomberg newsletter, Apple is preparing a redesigned Siri experience with a dedicated chatbot-style interface, but unlike rivals such as ChatGPT and Gemini, the company may make privacy controls a central part of the experience rather than a hidden setting.

The reported feature would allow users to automatically delete Siri conversations after 30 days, one year, or keep them permanently. The approach appears similar to the auto-delete system already available in Apple’s Messages app.

Old kindle owners are revolting against Amazon’s support shutdown with jailbreaking
Aging Kindles are still working, and some users refuse to let them die
Kindle-Paperwhite

Amazon’s decision to cut support for older Kindles has pushed some longtime owners toward jailbreaking, a route many never expected to consider.

From May 20, 2026, Kindle devices released in 2012 or earlier will no longer be able to buy, borrow, or download new books directly from Amazon. Books already downloaded will still work, but the store experience is basically being switched off for these devices. Reports now suggest that some users are looking at jailbreaks as a way to keep older Kindles useful instead of replacing hardware that still works.
