Samsung may extend the Galaxy S26 Ultra‘s screen privacy trick to more models next year. A new leak claims that the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro might also offer Privacy Display to help users keep their screen away from prying eyes.
What the leak claims
In a recent post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station has said that Samsung is testing a hardware-level privacy screen for the Galaxy S27 Pro, which is said to feature a 6.47-inch panel. The display spec aligns with previous leaks, which have also suggested that the device will join next year’s lineup alongside the standard S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Ultra, and that it could come with an S26 Ultra-sized battery.

The S27 Pro is expected to be positioned just below the Ultra model, making it a likely candidate to inherit the Privacy Display feature before it reaches the standard S27 or S27 Plus. However, since the S27 series is not due until early next year, all of these specs remain unconfirmed and subject to change.
Privacy Display isn’t staying put
Privacy Display debuted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year, and it narrows the screen’s viewing angle so the display looks normal head-on but turns dim for anyone glancing from the side. It’s an effective way to keep messages, passwords, and other sensitive content away from people sitting nearby.

While Samsung has kept the feature exclusive to its Ultra model, interest in it has spread well beyond that one phone. Recent reports suggest other smartphone makers are exploring similar screen tech for their own devices, and a separate leak has even pointed to Privacy Display arriving on a future MacBook Pro. If the Galaxy S27 Pro leak holds up, it would mark another step toward making the feature a lot less exclusive.
